Kasamba

Kasamba works on the same marketplace model as Keen and shares its history — both grew out of the early online advice boom. Its tarot and love-reading categories are the busiest parts of the site.

How pricing works

Per-minute, first minutes free with a new advisor. Introductory offers on every platform in this category exist to get you past the first session — the standard rate afterwards is substantially higher. Decide what you are willing to spend before you connect, because deciding mid-reading is exactly what the pricing is designed to prevent.

What it does well

Free minutes apply per new advisor rather than only once per account, so you can sample several readers cheaply before settling on one.

Where it falls short

The interface pushes hard toward continuing a session. Set a spend limit before you start rather than during.

Formats available

Chat, Email, Phone. Format matters more than people expect: chat leaves you a transcript to re-read when the emotion has passed, phone gets you tone and the ability to interrupt, video adds very little except cost. For a first reading, chat is usually the sensible choice.

Is it worth it?

A reading is worth what a good conversation with a thoughtful stranger is worth — sometimes a great deal, sometimes nothing. It is not a substitute for medical, legal or financial advice, and any reader who introduces a curse that can be lifted for an additional payment is running a scam that predates the internet. Treat the introductory offer as the whole experiment rather than the first instalment of one.
