Keen review: big and familiar, use the offer but cap the clock
Keen’s draw is simple: a large marketplace, call or chat readings, and a new-customer offer of $1 for the first 5 minutes with select advisors. The trade-off is also simple: after the promo, the meter runs by the minute, and a bad reading is handled as Keen credit up to $25, not as a promise of accuracy.

What a reading costs
Keen does not publish one live price chart for the whole marketplace. In the Tarot Card Readings section on October 7, 2026, our sample showed 18 advisors at $1.99–$7.99 a minute, each with a “5 min for $1” label.
| Rule | What Keen says | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Per-minute market | The advisor sets the price; Keen says there are no membership fees or recurring costs. first reading help | Compare advisors before you connect. The topic page is not a fixed tariff. |
| Tarot sample | On October 7, 2026, the tarot section showed 18 readers at $1.99–$7.99 a minute. tarot section | A short reading can still vary a lot because the rate is set per advisor. |
| Promo label | Each advisor in that tarot sample carried the “5 min for $1” label. tarot section | The intro deal is the useful way to test the platform, but only with participating advisors. |
| Continuing the session | Seamless Pay can keep the conversation going without a pause while money is charged during the session. BBB complaints | Set a hard limit before you start; the common billing complaints point at this feature. |
Billing is balance-first: Keen says you add funds and cannot be charged beyond that balance. If Seamless Pay is on, the practical risk is not a surprise subscription; it is letting a live conversation run longer than planned.

$1 for the first 5 minutes
The offer is useful if you treat it as a short test with a participating advisor, not as a full-session discount.
Keen says new customers typically receive a promotional offer of $1 for the first 5 minutes with select advisors. Its help page also says you can get started by adding just $1.
In the tarot section we checked, every one of the 18 sampled advisor cards carried the “5 min for $1” marker. That does not mean every Keen advisor participates, so use the label on the profile, not the general headline.

Your first session, step by step
The order Keen describes, with the points where money starts moving.
- Create an account
You must be 18 or older. Keen’s terms describe the service as entertainment.
18+ only - Add funds
Keen says the usual new-customer offer can start with $1, if you choose a participating advisor.
You pay $1 - Pick an advisor
Open the profile, check whether call or chat is available, and read the displayed per-minute rate before connecting.
Rate shown first - Start the call or chat
The balance is drawn down as the session continues. If Seamless Pay is enabled, the conversation can continue without a payment pause.
Billed as you go - Stop if it is not working
The satisfaction rule is credit only, up to $25, and the request window is 72 hours.
Up to $25 credit - Do not use the promo minutes as a refund plan
Keen says promotional minutes are not compensated under the guarantee, and the credit rule is once per 30 days.
30-day limit
What works, and what to watch
Keen is easy to try, but the cheap trial is not the same thing as a cheap long session. These points come from its own pages and outside rating profiles.
What works
- The new-customer offer is plain: $1 for the first 5 minutes with select advisors.
- Keen says there are no membership fees or recurring costs.
- The tarot sample we checked showed rates before connection, from $1.99 to $7.99 a minute.
- Call, chat, callbacks and scheduling give more flexibility than a single live-chat queue.
- The mobile apps are active on both iOS and Android, with large public rating counts.
What to watch
- The satisfaction guarantee is Keen credit up to $25, requested within 72 hours, not cash back.
- You can use that rule only once per 30 days, and promotional minutes are excluded.
- BBB complaint replies point to Seamless Pay when customers disputed continuing charges.
- Payment methods are not published on the pages we read, beyond the instruction to add a payment method.
- Reader-selection rules are not published on the pages we read, even though the home page uses “vetted” language.
Who it suits
Keen works well as a tightly limited trial. It works less well if you want published screening rules or cash refunds after a disappointing session.
A good fit if you
- want to test a live advisor for $1 before deciding whether to continue;
- prefer call or chat and do not need a published video-reading format;
- want to compare tarot advisors by visible per-minute rates before connecting.
Look elsewhere if you
- want a cash refund after a bad reading rather than up to $25 in Keen credit;
- want the platform to publish detailed reader-screening rules before you pay;
- are deciding a medical, legal or financial issue: the terms say the service is for entertainment.

What customers say, and where
Trustpilot is mixed rather than glowing: Keen has a 4.1 TrustScore, but the one-star share is large enough to read the complaints before using Seamless Pay.
- Keen claimed its Trustpilot profile in July 2021.
- The company invites customers to leave reviews.
- It replied to 76% of negative reviews.
What the one- and two-star reviews repeat
- BBB complaints repeat billing issues. Keen’s replies point to Seamless Pay and to the introductory “5 minutes for $1” offer.
- Trustpilot’s summary says some customers complain that predictions did not happen and that per-minute billing can lead to debt.
Keen history, in dated steps
The brand’s own timeline starts earlier than the current app-store and policy dates. These are the dated points we could tie to published pages.
- Keen says it has been around since this year.
- The iOS app is released, according to the App Store record.
- Keen claims its Trustpilot profile.
- The current user agreement date in the help-center copy.
- Google Play lists the Android app as updated.
- The App Store record lists the latest iOS version.
Questions people ask about Keen
The questions behind common US searches for the brand, answered from the same dated sources as the rest of this page.
Is Keen psychic legit?
Keen is a real marketplace operated by Ingenio, LLC, doing business as Keen. The platform says it has operated since 1999, and it has public help pages, terms, app-store listings and a Trustpilot profile. Legit does not mean accurate: Keen’s terms describe the service as entertainment.

Keen says new customers typically get $1 for the first 5 minutes with select advisors, and that adding $1 is enough to get started. Check the advisor card for the offer label before connecting.

How we checked
We read Keen’s user agreement, first-reading help, satisfaction-guarantee page, rewards page, tarot section, Trustpilot and BBB profiles, and its app-store listings. We took screenshots of the home page and tarot page on October 8, 2026. We did not pay for test sessions. Prices and offers change; if something here no longer matches Keen’s site, the site is right and we will update this page.
